Under Armour

Hello everyone!

Skiing is probably my favorite pastime, besides shopping that is. I’ve been skiing seriously since I was two, and have no intention on giving it up anytime ever. Some may complain about being out in the cold, but I personally don’t mind it. Why’s that? Because I have tons of  cute and WARM ski clothes to wear. Whoever decided that cute and warm didn’t go together certainly hasn’t seen Under Armours latest winter collection. Here are some of my favorite warm yet stylish options from Under Armour:

Rainy Chic

Hello everyone, it is Monday yet again.

Well, from looking at the NYC weather report, it looks like there’s another rainy week ahead. Ugh. Seriously I wish it would just snow instead.

If there’s one thing I actually struggle with it is how to look cute on a rainy day. Rain makes my hair frizzy, my makeup run and gets my clothes all wet walking in between the subway and work, therefore I typically have zero motivation to put some effort into my outfit. Does anyone really want to dress up on rainy day? I just want to be cozy.

So here are my fave rainy day picks in order to be cozy, dry and chic:

Cousin Night Out

Hello my readers, happy FRIDAY!

I am personally so excited for this weekend because I have a fantastic weekend planned. My cousin, who happens to be one of my best friends, is visiting me for the weekend before she goes to study abroad in Spain! So as the awesome cousin I am, I’m having her stay with me and giving her a proper send off, NYC style.

Friday night I’ll meet up with her after work and grab some grub and drinks on the Lower East Side. I most likely won’t have time to change so I’ll be sure to dress cute for work on Friday. I’m thinking this Anthropologie dress with my C.Wonder Ankle Booties

Screen Shot 2014-01-06 at 8.28.46 PM

I’m sure there will be some sleeping in happening Saturday morning, and then it will most likely be time to venture on down to SoHo to do some serious shopping. While down in SoHo I’m hoping to stop by Burger Joint on our way back uptown. Burger Joint is supposed to have one of the best burgers in town, and there’s nothing that makes me happier than a good burger and a milkshake. It’s supposed to be a little rainy Saturday so I’ll probably opt for a cute top or sweater with jeand and riding boots. I’m thinking something like these adorbs tops also from Anthropologie

Saturday night will probably be off to another fabulous dinner somewhere in the city. I’m thinking one of these cute tops with black jeans, riding boots and my drapey leather jacket will probably do the trick!

What does Sunday hold? My guess is sleeping in and lounging around!

Twist and Shout

Hello everyone, it’s almost the weekend!

I don’t know about all of you readers but I tend to struggle with my hair, which I’m sure I have mentioned in previous posts. I hate the way my hair looks when it’s drying, and the way it dries half the time, and i’m WAY to lazy to style it daily. So what’s my solution?

I simply brush my hair as I normally would and then I brush some of my favorite leave in conditioner, Neutrogena’s Triple Silk Touch Leave in Cream throughout my hair.

Screen Shot 2014-01-05 at 7.47.46 PM

Then I simply gather all my hair to one side and twist! The key is to put either a leave in conditioner, or styling cream, in your hair in order to hold the twist. I keep my hair twisted until my hair is completely dry (no it does not take longer to dry surprisingly) and once it’s dry, I’m actually left with beautiful curls and waves! Note: I do have naturally wavy/curly hair, so I’m not too sure how this will work on straight hair curls, but what do you have to lose?

Until next time!

Rose the One

Hello everyone, we’re half way through the week!

As I’m on my way out the door in the morning, there is one thing that I cannot leave my apartment without, well besides my keys. I just don’t feel complete without a spritz of my favorite perfume, Dolce and Gabbana Rose the One

Screen Shot 2014-01-07 at 7.01.22 PM

Now I’m not usually a perfume girl but I seriously LOVE this scent. Unlike most other perfumes it doesn’t make me sneeze like crazy, but it still has a noticeable yet light scent. If you like perfume with a light floral scent, that won’t go up your nose or make you sneeze all day, this is the perfume for you.

You can find this little bottle of good smelling magic at any Sephora or most major department stores.

Until next time!

Henri Bendel

Hello my readers, happy Tuesday!

I have to say, I love living down here in NYC. One main reason I must admit is because of all the fantastic shopping! Now, while 5th avenue is a well known shopping mecca, I have to say I HATE venturing down 5th ave on the weekends. Not to be a snob, but I can’t stand sifting my way through the crowds of tourists who don’t know how to walk or where they’re going. However, this is one store that I will brave the crowds for and that is Henri Bendel.

Seriously, this store is fabulous. From handbags to shoes, phone cases and jewelry, this store has everything an NYC girl could want or need (except clothes).

Anyway here are some of my fave Henri Bendel things of the moment:

Ugh I want everything in that store.

Sweater Weather

Hello everyone, what a dreary Monday. I personally hate rain more than anything. Either give me sunshine or give me snow!

What is most annoying about the rain is the fact that I had an ADORABLE outfit planned for my first day back at work, but suede boots and a dress aren’t exactly comfortable on a cold rainy day in NYC.

In my opinion a day such as today calls for a comfy sweater, jeans and some rain boots. So in honor of this sweater weather, here are a few of my fave sweaters of the moment:

This adorable elbow patch sweater and awesome side button sweater, both from J.Crew

This fabulous beaded sweater and cozy grey poncho, both from Anthropologie.

I have a crazy feeling that the grey poncho would like ADORBS with a pair of leather leggings and suede ankle boots.

Until next time!
